2010 Film Scholarships

 
 

In 2010 the THEA Foundation and AETN Student Selects is proud to announce the 2010 Young Filmmaker Scholarship Winners! 


Winners of the 2010 “Student Selects” scholarship competition are:

  1. Screenwriting – Tanner Smith, Manila High School, “Specter.”

  2. Directing – Landry Parks Harlan, Fayetteville High School, “Outside the Lines.”

  3. Cinematography – Sean Cannon, Searcy High School, “Small Town.”

  4. Editing – William Michael Sharp, Fayetteville High School, “Outside the Lines.”


We would like to congratulate these winners for their hard work and creative awareness.  Each winner will receive a $2,500 scholarship from the THEA Foundation.


Two of the scholarships were funded by:  Dorothy Morris and Melanie Masino Martin.


Eligibility

The scholarship program is inclusive. There are no test score requirements, grade point Requirements, or major requirements (scholarship winners go on to major in their field of choice).

Who is eligible?


  1. BulletArkansas High School Seniors from:

  2. BulletPublic or Private Schools

  3. BulletGED Students

  4. BulletHome School Students



Scholarships will be awarded to the students institutions of choice, regardless of planned major. The student need not be majoring in a media related field to receive and utilize the scholarship. Violation of the declaration of student work as authentic will result in forfeiture of the scholarship application.


AETN and the THEA Foundation retain the right to use student media entered in the scholarship proceedings in the same manner as the non-competitive Student Selects media (online webcast, broadcast and film festival showings.)
