How to Improve Classroom Instruction

The THEA Foundation's advocacy is based on schools that have successfully motivated and engaged students through an arts-infused delivery system of instruction for the curriculum. An arts-infused delivery system means teaching reading, writing, spelling, math, science, social studies, history, speech, and literature using art, drama, music, and rhyme to enhance the learning process.  This teaching method caters to the way all students learn, engaging each child.  When students are engaged and having fun, learning comes easy.  When this happens discipline problems go away and the only noise in the classroom is from engaged, motivated students.  Teachers are happy because what they are doing is actually working - their students are engaged.

Instructional techniques are taught through a series of workshops, and implementation of this delivery system makes learning accessible for ALL STUDENTS regardless of their background or place in life. Parents, teachers, and administrators are amazed at the connections students make through the various art forms that improves their capacity to learn - thus helping them to believe in themselves.
