I live and create in Sherwood, Arkansas with my husband, Matthew, and three young boys: Carter (6), Tuck (4) & Miles (2). After studying a multitude of art courses from interior design to graphic design and most things in between, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Since that time, my own kiddos grow and delight in so many wonderfully small things has been the inspiration to then turn and capture those spontaneous moments on canvas. My portraiture can be described as loose interpretations of the actual child, the focus being directed to the emotion and motion of the activity captured. Mostly working with my fingertips, I usually save any brushwork for the small details of the painting. I also frequently crop in tightly on a figure to eliminate distractions, heighten the sense of movement and provide visual interest. I believe that God is the one true Creator, and I am humbled to be His child and honored to share any gift of creating that He has given me. It is a time of worship and awe when I paint and I am thrilled when a painting can then touch someone else in a meaningful way. This is for His glory. Contact Morgan
