2016 Performing Arts Scholarship Competition Winners Announced

Saturday, January 16, 2016, Thea Foundation hosted its annual Performing Arts Scholarship Competition. This year's competition was held at Pulaski Technical College’s brand new fine arts building in North Little Rock, Arkansas. This was the first event held at this dazzling new facility and we were honored to be the first to use it to inspire these high school seniors through our scholarship competition. More than 100 young singers, dancers and actors competed for 10 scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $4,000. The competition was neck and neck, and we were blown away by all of the participants.

Congratulations to our 2016 winners, and thank you to everyone who participated, judged, and volunteered!

Thea Foundation awards $79,500 every year to 30 high school and home-schooled seniors from across Arkansas. Our six competitions include: performing arts (singing, dancing and acting), visual arts, creative writing, poetry slam, film and fashion design. Thea’s scholarships are unique because they are totally inclusive; we require no GPA, test scores or intent to major in the arts. Every 4-year university and Pulaski Technical college partner with Thea to match or exceed our scholarships.

The registration deadlines for performing arts and visual arts have passed, but creative writing, poetry slam, film and fashion design are still open!
