An Important Message From Thea Foundation

It nearly goes without saying that keeping our patrons/supporters who attend our events and the students/families who take part in our scholarship competitions safe is a top priority for our organization. Earlier this week, we modified our Performing Arts and Visual Arts Scholarship Competitions to be online-only and extended the deadline for each competition (full details can be found in our previous blog post).
We are continuing to monitor the evolving pandemic situation and school closings in Arkansas; Thea Foundation may opt to make further changes, but all currently registered and interested/applicable students should visit the performing arts and visual arts scholarship pages of our website for new submission details at this time. The 2020 Film Scholarship Competition, in partnership with the Arkansas Cinema Society, will keep the same deadline with students required to register and submit their film by March 30.
For any questions about the scholarship competitions, please email Paul Leopoulos at scholarships@theafoundation.org.
In order to continue to limit exposure of COVID-19 in group settings, Thea Foundation is deeply saddened to announce the cancellation of our April Art Department exhibition, which would've featured an exciting collaboration from artists Hannah Genevieve Lawrence and Chris Swasta. Please stay tuned for further details regarding our next steps for Thea's Art Department.
Our other upcoming event cancellations include Thea Foundation no longer hosting the previously scheduled Vesta's Pop-Up Shop on March 17 nor our happy hour for the AMRtists Drawing Exhibition on March 20.
Any questions regarding our event cancellations can be directed to Amanda Seevers at amanda@theafoundation.org.
