Thea Foundation Modifies Submission Process/Deadline for Two Scholarship Competitions

Updated: Mar 12, 2020

Due to a significant interest in submitting art and auditions digitally and Thea Foundation's awareness of the current pandemic, we've opted to take our 2020 Performing Arts and Visual Arts Scholarship Competitions completely online. Please see details below for each

competition's new submission process.

New Deadlines for Performing Arts & Visual Arts Scholarship Competitions:

Extended deadlines to accommodate our talented Arkansas students and the evolving dynamics of the pandemic are listed below.

The registration deadline for Performing Arts & Visual Arts is now March 30.

All submissions should be uploaded by noon on Friday, April 3.

Details for Performing Arts Scholarship Competition Submission:

After registering to compete, participating students who register should email Paul Leopoulos at scholarships@theafoundation.org to confirm their registration was received. Your audition video must be uploaded as either a .mov or .mp4 file to the designated Dropbox folder for Thea Foundation's 2020 Performing Arts Scholarship Competition.

All registered students are required to title their submitted video file with their last name_first name (Example: Smith_John.jpg) and the file must be submitted to the Dropbox folder by noon on Friday, April 3. No produced videos will be considered: no editing, multiple camera shots, etc. We are seeking one consistent, low production video (shot at the highest-res available to you—mobile phone videos are perfectly fine) that showcases your talent in its simplest, purest form.

Details for Visual Arts Scholarship Competition Submission:

After registering to compete, participating students who register should email Paul Leopoulos at scholarships@theafoundation.org to confirm their registration was received. The photos of art must be uploaded to the designated Dropbox folder for Thea Foundation's 2020 Visual Arts Scholarship Competition.

A 2-D work should only be submitted with ONE photo for consideration. A 3-D work should be submitted with 2-3 photos for consideration. A short video may also be submitted in conjunction with photos for a 3-D work. All students are required to title their submitted file(s) with their last name_first name (Example: Smith_John.jpg) and the file must be submitted by noon on Friday, April 3.

Note: Students who have already registered to compete should check their email tied to the registration for submission details. There's no need to register again. Just submit the required file(s) before the deadline.

Please email Paul Leopoulos at scholarships@theafoundation.org if you have any questions at all.
