As funding for arts programs in schools across Arkansas is in jeopardy, Thea Foundation advocates the importance of the arts in education while filling in the gaps to keep teachers implementing the arts and students pursuing them.

YOUR DONATION MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE

Your gift will keep Thea Foundation programs running, meaning art supplies and other creative materials delivered to underfunded schools, scholarships for high school seniors, and arts programming implemented and augmented in schools across the state.

Changing lives across Arkansas is as easy as making a one-time donation to Thea Foundation, and setting up a monthly donation plan is a hassle-free way to keep paying it forward. Please consider this option when donating to the Thea Foundation.

Suggested donation is $100. Please, give what you can

WHAT YOU’LL FUND

Since 2002, Thea Foundation has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to Arkansas high school seniors; supplied more than $1.5 million of creative materials to underfunded schools; implemented and augmented arts programming for students during and after school hours; and advocated the importance of the arts in education to legislators at the state level.

 OUR PROGRAMS

Thea’s Scholarship Program:

Each year, we award 30 scholarships totaling $79,500 to high school seniors across the state, and we partner with every college in the Arkansas and many national institutions who promise to match or exceed Thea scholarships, sometimes meaning full tuition covered.

Arts Reconstruction:

Thea’s newest program, Arts Reconstruction, implements and augments arts programming within schools. This program, which currently trains and provides visual arts teachers at every grade level with innovative new techniques and equipment and provides instruments and musical instruction, is designed to encourage long-term adoption and expansion of arts programming during school hours.

Thea’s Art Closet:

Annually, Thea’s Art Closet delivers $100,000 worth of quality art supplies and creative materials to mostly high-poverty schools across the state of Arkansas, so that hundreds of teachers with short or nonexistent budgets can keep implementing innovative, creative lesson plans to engage and inspire their students.
